Online Graduate Data Mining Certificate Program
This online program is designed to help working professionals who do not want to pursue a full master’s degree yet want to enhance their data mining or business analytics skills by taking a set of courses online. Working professionals admitted in this program can complete the coursework in 12-18 months by taking courses online. Along with the graduate certificate in business data mining, students in this program will also receive either the SAS and OSU Data Mining Certificate or the SAS and OSU Business Analytics Certificate depending on their background and the courses they have taken in the program.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or Computer Science or other natural science and have the equivalent of at least a 3.0/4.0 undergraduate GPA. Other students may apply for admission to the program; such applications will be reviewed by the Program Director, who may recommend admission to the Graduate College.
Program Format:
The courses are offered online enabling working professionals to complete the certificate requirements at their convenience. A broad range of elective courses also allows students wide flexibility to customize their course work.
Course Requirements:
Graduate students must complete 12 credit hours of courses, including two core courses and at least two elective courses. For more information about courses, see Program Details on the left menu bar.
How do you get the Graduate Data Mining certificate?
As soon as you are admitted into the program, work with your academic advisor (contact business office of graduate programs, call 405-744-9000) to create a plan of study (POS) that reflects the courses you intend to take based on your interests. Then in the last semester when you are completing all coursework, you must fill-in and file the Application for Graduate Program Form by November 1 (for Fall graduation) or April 1 (for Spring or Summer graduation). After you complete all requirements, the graduate college will mail you your certificate to you home address on file . Typically, you will expect to receive the certificate form the graduate college about 6 weeks after your last semester of study.
